A Milestone Year!

2023 marked 20 years since the formation of Performance Physiotherapy and the clinic first opening in Pontypridd in October 2003. Lots has changed since then and the business has grown significantly, becoming one of the leading providers of a range of private Physiotherapy services across South Wales.

Expanding Services for Comprehensive Care...

2023 has been a year of continued growth and development for the practice!

In addition to our long-established Pontypridd base, in June we opened consulting rooms in Caerphilly, allowing our clients in this area access to our services more easily.

As our client base continues to grow so has our team and in 2023 we welcomed a number of new senior Physiotherapists, further adding to the expertise and exceptionally high levels of patient care the clinic is able to offer…

We also invested in a new Shockwave Therapy machine from the excellent https://ctmedical.co.uk/  https://www.facebook.com/CTmedsales allowing us to continue to provide our patients with the most advanced Shockwave Therapy technology and the highest possible standards of care.

Over the last 12 months we have teamed up with a number of external vocational/health and well being providers to allow clients to access our Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation programmes. We have also expanded our occupational health provision and now work with several new local organisations to help look after the musculoskeletal health and wellbeing of their employees.

Our GP based First Contact Physiotherapy (FCP) services are well established and form an integral part of the care offered to patients within the individual practices where we are based. Demand for access to Physiotherapy assessment/guidance within primary care continues to grow and 2024 will no doubt see us continue to deliver these services to even greater numbers of patients as we work alongside our GP colleagues.

Our many other services including Cancer Specialist Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, Post Operative Physiotherapy, Ergonomics and Workplace Assessments, Medico-Legal services and Case Management have also all grown and we look forward to developing these services further in 2024!

Sports Physiotherapy

The clinic continues to be one of the leading providers locally in the management of Sports/Musculoskeletal injuries and 2023 has seen us help hundreds of clients back from injury to the sports/activities they enjoy most, whether elite athlete or weekend warrior!

Our expert team of Physiotherapists all specialise the management of musculoskeletal/sports injuries and we also have strong links with a number of local sports physicians and orthopaedic surgeons, ensuring we are able to guide our clients to the best possible specialists when needed.

Developing links with the local community...

The clinic is extremely proud to be able to help support Pontypridd/Rhondda based sports teams and organisations in a small way and we have thankfully been able continue to do this in 2023. This includes: Tylorstown RFC, Pontypridd RFC, Ynyshir Albions FC, Pontypridd Cricket Club and Caerphilly RFC.
